File ownership remains after its owner user is removed. In the Windows File Explorer, files that are owned by that user will now show as SID (Security ID, like S-1-52-123456789-123456789-123456789-1008), instead of the username.
If you prefer to show the file owned by the original username, you can just change the user's password while keeping the username.
