What is the Default Cloud Storage Provider?

Morro Cloud Storage is backed by Amazon S3 or Wasabi Hot Storage. The provider is selected when the account is created and cannot be changed afterwards.

What is egress/download?

Egress is any data downloaded from the cloud. Egress will be incurred when a file that is not already in the CacheDrive is accessed. If the file is already in the CacheDrive, no additional download from the cloud will occur. This reduces internet bandwidth usage when many users access the same file locally.

How are Storage Charges Calculated?

Storage charges are based on the amount of cloud storage used and the amount of egress (data downloaded from the cloud).

Do I get 1TB of storage and 1TB of download per device?

The 1TB of storage and 1TB of download is per account, not per device. For example, if you have 2 devices in CloudNAS Business, you will get 1TB of storage and 1TB of download per month.

What is Bring Your Own Storage (BYOS)?

Some customers may already have cloud object storage accounts and want use them to back their Morro Data account. Customers who bring their own accounts pay only the Morro Data File Services Fee.
