In the HC Devices page, the selecting a device will reveal the device details.


HC Device


Use this section to modify the settings for your HC device.

  • Type (Model/SKU) - Shows the device type, model, and SKU.
  • Name - Show/edit the name of the device.
  • Description - Show/edit the device description.
  • Version - Displays the firmware version of the device.  If the download icon appears, click it to update the firmware.  The firmware update process does not require a device restart, but a short service interruption may occur.
  • State - Device state can be online or offline.
  • Action - Select an action to perform on the device (power off, reboot, diagnostics functions, or delete).
  • Details - Expand this section for more information, such as IP address and configured memory.



Network


Use this section to modify the networking settings.

  • DHCP Configuration - Click Configure to modify the DHCP server settings, such as starting and ending addresses, reserved IP addresses, etc.
  • DHCP Lease - Click Get to see the list of DHCP leases.
  • Wi-Fi Connectivity - Click Configure to setup the HC device as a basic wireless access point.  You may also connect an access point to the physical Edge LAN port for better performance and features.
  • Cellular Modem - Click Configure to enable support for using a cellular modem for Internet access instead of the Site LAN router.  If enabled, the device will search for a supported cellular modem on the next boot and, if found, will disable the physical S-LAN port.



Security


Edge LAN Security - Configure port forwarding to allow access to Edge LAN devices from the Site LAN.  For more information, see the following article:

Regional WAN Security - Configure firewall settings to restrict access from the Regional WAN to the Edge LAN / Core LAN.



WAN Gateway


Use this section to modify the settings for the WAN Gateway.

  • Name - Show/edit the name of the WAN Gateway.
  • Description - Show/edit the WAN Gateway description.
  • Edge LAN Address - Show the WAN Gateway's Edge LAN IP address.
  • Regional WAN Address - Show the WAN Gateway's Regional WAN IP address.
  • Status - The WAN Gateway's status can be running or stopped.
  • Action - Select an action to perform on the device (power off, reboot, diagnostics functions, or delete).
  • Details - Expand this section for more information, such as IP address and configured memory.



CacheDrive


Use this section to modify the settings for the embedded CacheDrive.

  • Name - Show/edit the name of the device.
  • Description - Show/edit the device description.
  • Edge LAN Address - Show the CacheDrive's Edge LAN IP address.
  • Status - The CacheDrive's status can be online, offline, or stopped.
  • Action - Select an action to perform on the device (start, reset, shutdown, and diagnostics functions).
  • Details - Expand this section for more information, such as disk capacity and number of CPUs.  If the device status is stopped, the virtual hardware configuration of the CacheDrive can be modified.



Compute


Use this section to modify the settings for the embedded Compute Element.

  • Name - Show/edit the name of the device.
  • Description - Show/edit the device description.
  • Edge LAN Address - Show the Compute Element's Edge LAN IP address.
  • Status - The Compute Element's status can be running or stopped.
  • Action - Select an action to perform on the device (start, reset, shutdown, and diagnostics functions).
  • Details - Expand this section for more information, such as disk capacity and number of CPUs.  If the device status is stopped, the virtual hardware configuration of the Compute Element can be modified.
