MultiCloud is used to add a redundant Cloud Storage or to migrate the current Cloud Storage to another Cloud Storage for the files of the shares in the pool.
There are two options:
- Add Redundancy - If you want to back up the files in the pool to another Cloud Storage besides the current Cloud Storage, you can enable "Add Redundancy" to add another Cloud Storage to this pool. In this case, the files in the pool will be stored in two Cloud Storage. The existing files will be backed up to the newly added pool and the newly added files will be uploaded to both Cloud Storage.
- Migrate Objects To New CSG - If you want to use a new Cloud Storage to replace the current Cloud Storage, you can enable "Migrate Objects To New CSG". The existing files in the pool will be backed up to the newly added Cloud Storage and the newly added files to this pool will be uploaded to the newly added Cloud Storage only. After all files in the pool have been migrated to the newly added Cloud Storage, you can decide to remove the old Cloud Storage from the pool.

- Select Primary Storage – Set the primary storage for upload and download for each CacheDrives.
- All CacheDrives that map to at least one share under this pool will be displayed on this page.
- When uploading a file, the CacheDrive will upload to the primary storage, immediately followed by uploading to the secondary storage.
- After completing the upload to both storages, the file can be downloaded from the destination CacheDrive's primary storage. If downloading from the destination CacheDrive's primary storage is not successful, the file will then be downloaded from its secondary storage.
- Defer Upload to Secondary
- "Defer upload to secondary" will upload files to the primary storage first but will defer uploading to the secondary storage.
- After a file has been uploaded to the primary storage, the file can be downloaded to the destination CacheDrive from the storage which has the files, even though this storage is not the destination CacheDrive's primary storage.
