Data Summaries

The following sections contain metrics about the data in the system.

  • Data Stored
  • Top Shares
  • Top Users
  • Data Transfer
  • Data History

Cloud Storage Gateway

Select the cloud storage gateway for which you want to view the data summaries.

Choose a cloud storage group to view the statistics for that storage group or choose "ALL" to see the combined statistics.

Data Stored

The Data Stored chart shows the total amount of storage used by the system and how much storage is actually used in the cloud.

Your Data (in blue) shows the virtual size of the data uploaded to Morro Data system.  This is calculated without compression and deduplication, and includes all file versions and deleted files that have not been purged.

You pay for (in purple) shows the amount of cloud storage actually used by the Morro Data system.  This is calculated after compression and deduplication has been applied, and includes all file versions and deleted files that have not been purged.  Because compression and deduplication losslessly reduces the size of your data, the "You pay for" number will be smaller than "Your Data".

Top Shares

The Top Shares chart shows which shares contain the most data.  It does not account for compression and deduplication, and does not include previous versions of files or deleted files.

Data Transfer

The Data Transfer chart shows the amount of data downloaded (green bar) and uploaded (blue bar) in the current and previous period. Periods are defined as 30 days and 24 hours. You can mouse over the chart to view details.

Data History

The Data History chart shows the Total Capacity used, Upload, and Download over time. The X-Axis represents time and the Y-Axis represents Upload (blue bar), Download (green bar), and Total Capacity (blue line) usage. You can mouse over the chart to view details or zoom in on the chart by clicking and dragging to select a time period.

File System and Gateways

This chart shows the connections between the components of the Global File System.

In the example below, you can see that (starting from the left side of the chart) Cloud Storage Group "Morro Cloud" has a storage pool called "Corporate". The "Corporate" storage pool contains shares called "Accounting", "Design" , "Engineering", etc. We also see that (starting from the right side of the chart) the CacheDrive "SanFrancisco" has Read/Write access to the shares "Accounting" and "Engineering" (designated by the solid blue lines) and Read-Only access to the share "Design" (shown with dashed blue lines).
